Which BMW models does E-Sys support?
All BMW F-series (2008+), G-series (2015+), and i-series vehicles, including BMW i3, i8, iX, i4, i7, M-models, and Mini F-series. Older E-series cars use INPA/NCS Expert instead.
What's the difference between E-Sys and ISTA?
ISTA is BMW's diagnostic and repair software (fault finding, guided service). E-Sys is the coding and programming side — change vehicle options and flash ECUs. Most professional users run both.
Do I need an ENET cable for E-Sys?
Yes. F, G, and i-series BMWs are coded over Ethernet (OBD2 → RJ45) using a BMW ENET cable. We can supply a quality ENET cable separately if you don't have one.
What is FDL coding vs VO coding?
FDL coding edits individual parameters inside one module (the typical "hidden features" workflow). VO coding rewrites the car's full Vehicle Order and re-codes every module — used when retrofitting hardware.
