What is ODIS diagnostic software?

ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) is the official dealer-level diagnostic and ECU programming software used by Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, and Škoda authorised workshops. It replaced older tools with guided fault finding and full ECU programming capability.

What is the difference between ODIS and VCDS?

VCDS is a third-party tool providing good basic diagnostics and coding. ODIS is the official factory software used by VW Group dealers — it includes guided fault finding with repair procedures, full ECU flashing, online programming, and the complete official diagnostic database that VCDS cannot match.

What VW Group vehicles does ODIS support?

ODIS supports all Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Cupra, and Škoda vehicles from the mid-2000s to the most recent covered model year — including all MQB, MLB, and MEB platform vehicles. Contact us to confirm your specific model.

Can ODIS do ECU programming and flash updates?

What interface do I need to run ODIS?
